The San Marcos Air Show

Picture

The Confederate Air Force puts on a two-day Air Show at the San Marcos Airport in Texas every September. There are all types of civilian and military aircraft from World War I to present day. The event includes static displays, flying exhibitions and bone-rattling bomb run simulations.

These photograph’s were taken at the 1997 show. In spite of less than perfect weather and a tragic accident on the first day, the event went on to entertain and thrill the crowds. I recommend this show to any and all aircraft fans.

There’s something you don’t see every day, a fully marked Russian MIG in American air space.
