John Polk, the relief engineer for the satellite truck. Without him, I would never get any vacation time. His relief at Fort Davis made it possible for me to sleep in a real bed after several nights in the truck.

Between the two of us, we did over 100 seperate uplinks and some of which ran for hours at a time and fed many stations across the country. Our work covered three networks on two continenents. That’s only if you don’t count the world wide feeds from ABC and CNN.
