Barry Cravens, Spiritual Leader Barry Cravens became the Spiritual Leader of Unity San Marcos on February 1, 2008. Barry Cravens is a ministerial candidate and Licensed Unity Teacher coming to us from Unity Center of Positive Prayer in Austin, Texas where he served as a LUT and Gen. Manager of The Sacred Shelf, Unity Center’s bookstore ministry. Over the years, Barry has been a guest speaker and teacher at Unity of San Marcos helping us in our transition since August 2008. Elizabeth Wills, Bookkeeper/Financial Services Elizabeth Wills holds B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Applied Math. Mary Hull, Administrative Assistant Mary holds a B.S. degree in Home Economics (Consumer Science) from Mansfield University, Pennsylvania. “I always said that Home Ec. taught me how to read the instructions.” Mary has been married twice, mothered two wonderful sons, taught high school, and worked as a Home Economist for a variety of companies. She ran a Ski Resort Hotel, owned telephone service companies and an antique business. She holds a Private Pilots’ License, flying air races and owning airplanes. Mary has a Florida Real Estate Sales license and has sold, rented, managed and remodeled many properties, including the 1912 house where she lives. Having been a practicing Catholic, Lutheran, and Episcopalian, she discovered Unity in 1991 in Costa Rica. “I continue to study and learn: having taken Chaplain Training and accumulating SEE credits. Carol Johnson, President Board of Trustees Carol Johnson is a trained prayer chaplain as well as serving as board president.Outside of church, Carole runs her own business remodeling and performing home repairs. Jeanne Vincent, Secretary Board of Trustees

Jeanne was born in Surabaya, Indonesia and has a mixed culture background. She has had experience since 1971 as a counselor, lecturer, teacher,  healer, inspirational speaker and numerologist. Jeanne writes:

"Since as a child I have seen spirit but have been in fear until I was 18 because of my religious upbringing and the superstitious background of family. Pretty confusing. There's an old saying:"Give a man a fish and you can feed him for a day. TEACH him to fish and you feed him for life!" I am hoping to share that which I have learned over the years through meditation, teachers in my life and of course my guides and spirit. I cannot take credit for anything that I share, as it is not my wisdom but the wisdom of those who have come on my path."

Linda MacLachlan,  Board of Trustees, Bookstore Manager Linda is a long-time member of Unity. She serves on the board as treasurer, presenting financial reports at the monthly meeting and handling deposits. She is a regular participant in the Wednesday Silent Unity Prayer Service at Unity San Marcos. Linda is a nurse and continues to work in the care industry. David Sladek, Keeper of the Candle Board of Trustees David has been a member of Unity for over 20 years, serving on the board at Unity San Marcos from time to time. He has been a faithful usher and blesses us with continuous lawncare on the grounds at Unity San Marcos. Paula Baldwin, Member at Large Board of Trustees After raising two sons and having careers in the business and dance world, Paula returned to college to obtain a bachelor's degree in Communication from University of Texas at San Antonio in May, 2007. She moved to San Marcos that same month and began attending a graduate program at Texas State University. A graduate student and a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Paula completed her first year as a graduate student with a 4.0, one published paper and several conference papers. This fall, she will begin her last year as a graduate student. Paula will also be teaching two core Communication classes as a stand-alone instructor. Paula intends to take her Unity chaplain training in August and she hopes to find a way to combine her Unity faith and her academic research projects.
